bar the Ink Well. The Brooklyn Soundpainting Ensemble
has performed in small venues like Pete’s Candy Store and larger ones like
Brooklyn College. Recently they
collaborated with the Tours Soundpainting Orchestra
in Battle of the Bees, a concert
featuring artists mixing live bee sounds in the performance. With Brooklyn Soundpainting
Ensemble, every performance is unique.

Brooklyn College will present an ensemble-devised performance and reception on
Sunday, April 21st from 9pm-12am at the House of Yes, 342 Maujer
Street. In IMMACULATE CARCASS / EXQUISITE
RECEPTION, fifteen artists from a diverse background of performance disciplines
work together to create a celebratory and immersive experience—experimenting
with color, music and multimedia—to raise questions about memory and
identity. The ensemble distills four months of weekly experimentation with
technology, text, music and movement into an exciting, interactive experience,

JOIN US! This evening has a little something for all; Fletcher Boote and Michael
Lynam Perform an excerpt from 'If an Ant
Should Love You,' a multi-media performance mapping an
inward journey of imperfect consonances. Elizabeth Devlin, a self-produced NYC singer-songwriter,
combines soft fluttering vocals, enchanting autoharp melodies and densely
packed surreal verses, painting abstract narratives with lyrics that feel more
like poetry then song. Mary Joy Patchett performs 'song cycle for saxophone (version
1.2)' by Elliot Cless,
an open form composition that is designed to transform over time, though retain
its overall cyclicality—in the presence of the composer! Round two will feature music by Sofia Gubaidulina and Soundpainting
